Just when I’m thinkin’ I might be a good and Godly man....
smacked-down.
Fail.
God bless this wonderful man.
Wow!
This guy’s a hero!
The guy at the checkout in the cafeteria asked her how she was doing - not many people knew of her issues, but he was aware of her story. She mentioned that she was struggling with the dialysis, and hoped that she was moving up on the transplant list so it would happen soon. He said, "Oh, you mean a kidney transplant would help you? I've got two kidneys" And he immediately began the testing to see if it was possible. Turns out that he, too was a perfect match.
The testing is nearing completion, but it turns out his sacrifice was not needed. Last week she received a call that she needed to report to the hospital that day, and her transplant was performed. It's unfortunate that the reason she got her kidney was due to someone else's loss, but I hope that the family is comforted by knowing that a part of their loved one will live on.
