The November 2014 elections, only 49 days away, are cautiously predicted to be a Republican blow-out. Or, more accurately, a clear “no confidence” vote for the current regime.
If I were a) dishonest, b) power hungry with communist inspirations, and c) convinced I could get away with it - aka a Democrat - I too would postpone cancel the elections in the name of safety.

Speaking to a Cary rotary club today, N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue suggested suspending Congressional elections for two years so that Congress can focus on economic recovery and not the next election.
“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that,” Perdue said. “You want people who don't worry about the next election.”

Isn’t it a fact that we don’t have national elections as such, but rather, 50 individual state elections? So then how does the federal government have the power to suspend elections? Wouldnt each state have to agree to do that?
In answer to your question, we ended the Secession Movement in Maine because we do not believe their will be a Union to secede from on the scheduled day of the secession vote, June 12, 2018.
The Maine Secession movement began in 1985, it was tracking on schedule, we had, eliminated the one thing that the feds could use to attack us with force, all military bases in Maine, by the use of liberal idiots in public office, Remember what the use of force dictate was based on in 1860.

1)Fear mongering about “canceling elections” was mind-numbingly stupid when liberals did it during the Bush administration, and it’s stupid now.

I’ll give one example. Air power alone against ISIS when we mysteriously lost several thousand MANPADS in Libya.
Basically Obama is giving ISIS targets of opportunity with no ground support to destroy them before our weapons can be deployed against us.
What will happen when we have 20 jets shot down? Especially if it comes from within Syria?
How do they get away with half the things they already do?
