MCALLEN, Texas – A group of illegal immigrants stuffed into a pickup truck led authorities on a 160 mile chase that began near Laredo and ended just north of the San Antonio downtown area.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a pursuit in progress that began out of Laredo where U.S. Border Patrol agents had been pursuing a Ford pickup truck with 16 individuals inside, sheriff’s spokesman James Keith told Breitbart Texas

“Our deputies joined the pursuit as it entered the county and were able to conduct a safe stop just north of our downtown area,” Keith said. As the vehicle tried to flee authorities three deputies boxed in the pickup, which was drive by a 17-year-old female, in an effort...

why are they running?

as soon as they catch them, they just give them a free meal, free medical care, and a free bus ticket to a swing district somewhere in America!

You really don’t know why LE was so careful in pursuing these folks, that it went on for so long and so far?

Just because they are law enforcement doesn’t mean they can use just any tactics.

Hello, Ferguson, Missouri??

Lawsuits, suspensions and investigation? The Dept. of Injustice on your back??

They were trying not to hurt the people, either by purposeful acts or by unintended consequences.

There are stretches of that road that are completely straight and deserted of traffic at times. I don’t know why the Border Patrol didn’t call in for assistance early on.

The Dept. of Safety cars are capable of very high speeds and State troopers are used to high speed pursuits.

The chase would have gone through several small towns that have police forces and some counties with deputies in cars.

I question why the chase was allowed to go for so long and had to be made within the near-downtown area of a busy city like San Antonio.

Yeah I hear you. Until we realize this is an invasion and we need take the approach to repel the invaders, this will continue as the police have no options, they are law enforcement and must abide by the civil law.

Meanwhile, can you imagine being in some base camp under attack and the enemy is about to breach your wire and becoming worried about whether you should employ the 50’s to push em back? I cannot but like I said, it requires a will to repel the invaders. This place has no will to do so and probably never have one until it is too late and the citizenry is forced out.

It’s not surprising that 16 illegals were stuffed in a ford pickup. What’s surprising is that they didn’t run out of gas.

So most of them are turned over to ICE who then releases them, I bet. No wonder the country is sinking.

What are they running for? The comps just wanted to give them their welcome kits.

The police decided to act on their own at 159 miles, as they could not reach obama for permission to stop them.

You can bet whoever made that decision is in big trouble.
