Plus this new detail: First it was reported he went back to steal “pastries” and now we know it was actually a package of muffins!
Unacceptable, this reason this innocent, meek young soul had a knife was that he was making his peaceful way to have dinner at a local steakhouse.
Very similar story, different cast of characters:
An old friend of mine, an M.D., had a mentally ill 20-yr-old son in a halfway house. Kid got a knife from kitchen, threatened people in the house, director called the police. Cops came, kid came at them with the knife, wouldn’t stop when asked and ordered to, even said, “go ahead, shoot me,” so the cops shot and killed him.
WHY in the world couldn’t they have shot him in the knees?
And in other cases, perhaps this currently reported case too. Do police HAVE TO kill people?
Michael Brown was a different story altogether, a very dangerous thug, and Wilson had no choice but to eventually shoot to kill.
I forgot all about that - pretty good movie at the time!
see James Coburn in The Magnificent Seven
I know a gal who kills rattlesnakes by knife throwing
Thanks for the heads-up, just watched the clip. Haven't seen that movie in ages - gotta' pick it up this weekend.
