This description of events seems to make the most sense of all that I’ve heard.
Well the Chief is now saying the officer did suspect he was the robber and did hear the report on the police radio. He saw the box of cigars in Brown’s hand.
I seem to recall when reading about the martyrdom of St. Trayvon that it is popular among young black males to take 'cigars' like Swisher Sweets and empty them of tobacco until they have an empty tube which they then fill with pot (the surveillance video showed St. Trayvon attempting to buy a pack along with his Skittles and Arizona tea). It'll be interesting to find out if Big Mike had fired one of those bad boys up before his own martydom, minutes after stealing them.
Yeah - duplicate already in breaking

Hey, even if they found the mari-hoochie on his body, it’s ok. MJ is a peaceful organic thing, no body that does weed ever gets mean and violent, right? I mean that’s why they’ve legalized it some places right?
He said he doesn’t know if Wilson was aware.
Here is a further comment from him via the St. Louis Dispatch...
Jackson said the officer was aware cigars had been taken in the robbery of a store nearby, but did not know when he encountered Brown and Dorian Johnson that they might be suspects. He stopped them because they were walking in the street, Jackson said.
But Jackson told the Post-Dispatch that the officer, Darren Wilson, saw cigars in Browns hand and realized he might be the robber.
Interesting, and realistic. But, I’m surprised that on an issue this hot that the officer would talk to anyone other than his lawyer or other police; or if he did, that he’d choose someone who would tell the tale.
Can’t argue with that. But 4 - 6 weeks?
No.
In the post conference Q&A the Chief clearly stated at that time that the Officer did NOT know about the robbery.
Hours later they came out with a statement that the Chief didn’t know.
Why don’t they get their story straight before calling a press conference?
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
At ~1:50 he says he doesn’t know if Wilson was aware of the robbery.
Would be a bit difficult to use such, after a 64, 290# guy shoves you back into the cruiser, is pounding you in the face and trying to grab your gun.

Keep in mind we are only dealing with hearsay in this account, but the story relayed by Wilson’s friend is that Brown broke away after the initial contact at the car, that he was about 35’ away from the officer when the officer shouted “Freeze!” Brown then turns back toward the officer, taunts the officer, and then starts charging toward the officer. It was then that the officer shot Brown. The story is second hand so who knows if these facts are correct.
