I think I’ve made a decision to finally scrap the old xp it’s just soooo slow that it’s annoying. I have 2 replacements...a 2-yr old Mac and a fairly new smaller win 8.1. I am getting comfortable to the new toys and like both of them.

The quiz says 60s,
You Are in Your Musical 60s |
You love music for what it says as well as for how it sounds. You are big on music with a deeper meaning. For you, there is little better than a talented singer-songwriter. And you always listen to the lyrics for every song.
You are open to today's music as long as it comes from a genuine place. You don't like mass marketed music. You believe that every artist needs a strong voice. Generic music doesn't appeal to you at all! |
But I love Big Band as well. My Brother says I'm turning into our Old Man, God bless his soul. LOL!

The music you love never goes out of style - it's classic. You tend to only listen to the very best. Your taste in music may be mainstream at this point in your life, but that's a good thing. You can make a playlist that everyone loves.
You tend to stick with artists you know these days, but if you find a new artist that you do like, you know it right away. Your favorite music is creative, moody, and subtle. You don't need a song to overwhelm you in order to appreciate it. |

I say youre eclectic! :)WAIT. Before I go shooting off my big mouth, let me go look that up...
Eclectic
Selecting; choosing (what is true or excellent in doctrines, opinions, etc.) from various sources or systems; as, an eclectic philosopher.
Oh, okay :)
Gotta have Big Band!!

This series of questions misses the mark SO far for me . . . I've heard of some of these people, but I couldn't identify much of their music, let alone have a preference.
The first question mentions Mr. Bach, but that is the last time they even graze my frame of reference. Mr. Bach is late for me since he's Baroque, and my taste runs to medieval and Renaissance music.
You'd have to have a question like, "Which of these do you prefer: (a) Josquin de Prez (b) Heinrich Isaac (c) Johannes Ockeghem (d) Guillaume Dufay?"
But, seriously, isn't this one of the most beautifully solemn things you've heard in awhile?
Josquin: "Nymphs des bois" (lamentation for the death of Ockeghem)
Josquin, Ockeghem's pupil, composed this in homage to his master's style - Ockeghem was known for his deep resonant bass lines and stark harmonies.

Good evening LUV. I mowed the grass and then went fishing for about 45 minutes. Caught six keeper crappie. Also several too small, so back they went.
Another regular Joe, looked at his cell phone when I caught the first fish on the first drop of my lure. I had three crappie in the first five minutes.

Well, I’ve had the nickname of “Crappie Man” for the past two years. I’ve given away quite a number of bags of filets. I’ll call a lady from our church tomorrow and get her to come and get the ones I caught today.
