A call about trouble involving a crazy person at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport what could be more routine than that for a 911 dispatcher at the Barnstable Police Department?
But there was one big difference Tuesday night.
This time it was a member of the Kennedy family as the victim, rather than the perp.
So now its officially summer on the Cape. The Kennedys are back in the headlines. This time, though, the guy in the dock wasnt wearing a lampshade on his head, the favorite attire of Kennedys this time of year. This time the defendant was wearing a Captain America T-shirt.
As you know by now, a 53-year-old named James Lacroix arrived at 111 Irving Avenue in a black Corvette and wandered into the home of the late U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, the manse known as Comfortably Numb by the Sea. The 16-year old son of Ted Kennedy Jr. came downstairs and introduced himself to the visitor, who informed the boy he was looking for a) Katy Perry and b) President John F. Kennedy.
Looking for someone whos been dead 50 years? Some people might have deduced they were in the presence of a nut. But young Kennedy has grown up in the compound. To him, Lacroix appeared normal, according to court testimony. And, by Kennedy-compound standards, he probably is.
Young Kennedy said he assumed that he was speaking to a friend of a family member.
Most likely Uncle Patches.
The shrink who examined him told the court Lacroix clearly has bizarre ideas.
The Barnstable constabulary agreed, reporting that after their arrival, it became apparent to the officers that Mr. Lacroix was detached from reality.
As opposed to who? Teds widow, Vicki, recently said that she thinks Granny Warren would make a great president. Talk about detached from reality.
One thing I dont understand though. The Kennedys are 100 percent behind all these thousands upon thousands of Dreamers, pregnant teenagers and assorted gangbangers swarming into the country across the Rio Grande uninvited.
So what if these illegal aliens will be a terrible burden on the nation we must welcome them. So said the late Sen. Kennedy, and so says his protege, Gov. Deval Patrick.
Yet, Tuesday evening, when one single person, an American no less, invaded the compound, the Kennedys couldnt call the cops fast enough. If only Lacroix had been an undocumented worker, instead of an American citizen.
Lacroix and Kennedy had a 90-minute conversation, although it was not clear if the boy ever broke the news to Lacroix that the crappy singer his cousin Connor had gone out with was Taylor Swift, not Katy Perry.
Eventually, they decided to have dinner tortellini. Thats a traditional Kennedy family favorite, tortellini a la vodka, hold the tortellini.
So now Lacroix is locked up for observation, but by Kennedy family standards, this story has a happy ending. Nobody drowned, nobody got crippled for life, and nobody got set on fire with illegal fireworks.
Theyre just not making Kennedy scandals like they used to.

This is Captain America calling..."--The Kinks

I’d have thought the kid was just reacting to the same way he would have had ole Ted wandered into the house like the old days. The old boy could really sock away the booze.
Well the Kennedy Compound would be the logical place to look for Katy Perry.
Uncle Ted is credited with the first “clean kill” in the War of Women.
indeed and as the bumper sticker used to say “Ted Kennedy has killed more people with his car than I have with my gun”

Yes, the Kennedys can be said to have a war on women.
It’s not just Ted and Mary Jo. And not just the William Kennedy Smith rape case. There was also a Kennedy cousin who was doing unspeakable things with an underage babysitter for the family. There have also been various extramarital affairs among various Kennedys.
If we are going to talk about wars on women, I think it is appropriate to talk about how some good liberals, such as Kennedys, treat women.
How many illegal alien kids will the Kennedy Kompound hold?
Not as many as Deval Patrick’s estate in Richmond. 70 acres, I believe.
