Pelosi: Republicans Would Pass Immigration Reform for the Irish
Breitbart ^ | 04/11/14 | William Bigelow

Posted on 04/11/2014 6:39:11 AM PDT by nhwingut

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has judged the GOP—and found it racist.

Speaking at her weekly press briefing Thursday, she said cuttingly that the reason the GOP has not followed through on a comprehensive immigration reform bill was simple; the GOP would be comfortable with good ol’ white Irishmen immigrating to the United States but not people of another color.

Yes, that’s why I caught myself at the last second and wrote most. I was this close to saying, “Mexico and everyone below.”

There goes Nancy listening to those voices in her head again!

So? Pelosi would oppose amnesty for the Irish, but wants it for the Latinos! Liberals are the real racists. Just turn it around on them!

I wasn’t aware that the Irish were sneaking into the country illegally. They must be coming through the border between Ireland and Maine. No, isn’t that Canada? So where are they sneaking over the border?

I wonder, does she wake up in the morning and ask herself “what is the most asinine thing I could say?” or does she have an entire staff working on the project for her?

I want people yearning to be free... not people yearning to get stuff for free... Old Nancy doesn't choose to see the difference.

Then again I'd be happy to “fight for the RIGHTS “ of 50 million Chinese illegals IF they promise to vote for Republicans. I'm sure old Nancy would ‘catch’ the unfairness of that... without ever seeing that's what she's doing to us. She flooding our country will illegals BECAUSE they vote for democrats.

At least Jeb Bush has deluded himself into thinking all these people will be grateful to him personally. Maybe include him in their prayers...Reminds me of Hillary thinking the people in the ME would be 'grateful' for all we've done for them. Gad, you elites are fools.

And clueless.

If all it takes is cheap flattery Nancy, maybe we should learn how to do that... Maybe then you'd protect the country you were elected to serve rather than protecting foreigners who are here illegally.

I do not for a moment think that the Republicans said anything like that or even believe anything like that (sadly), but what would be wrong with an immigration policy that favored White people?

For most of its history America was a White nation (with a small – about 10 percent – Black population). What possible benefit could arise to the indigenous population by being made a minority in their own country. What possible benefit to the native population can be had by admitting people who will immediately be able to receive preferential treatment via affirmative action?

Remember America is not changing it is being changed. This demographic swamping of the White population is not something that is just happening. It is policy, and policy can be altered.

What many would consider America's golden period (1945 to 1970) was one of low, controlled immigration focused on White Western Europe. During that period we built the Interstate Highways; put a man on the moon; created a broad, strong, prosperous middle class. Why was that so very wrong that it needed changing?

Demographics aside, proposed immigration reform would boost numbers from a very high 1 million per year to an insane 3 million per year. I guess waiting until 2040 or 2050 for Whites to become a minority in their own country is just too long a wait for some.

Again I ask: What is so wrong with an immigration policy that favors White nations? What is wrong with the desire to live in a country that looks like you? What is so wrong about wanting to maintain a particular demographic makeup, one that served the country well?

More diversity means less White. It is obvious why non-Whites would “celebrate diversity,” but why should Whites even want, let alone celebrate their own dispossession?

I would ask that the account be extended back to the year 1940. At that time the USA was truly a ‘melting pot’ of and for immigrants from all over the world such as my parents. A person needs only to look at the casualty listings, dead and wounded, from WWII and subsequent wars to see who has been fighting to preserve the USA. Many people today who have come after 1940 do not like to think that what they came here for was bought by blood and wounds of many men from a root culture set by the Founding Fathers who themselves were from a white European heritage.

What about Germans,Italians,Swedes,Brits etc?

She is a vile millionaire who knows NOTHING about how most of us live——and think.

The democrats have depended on immigration, since the mid 1800s.

The 1965 Immigration Act to replace the American republican voters.

“However, if there is one man who can take the most credit for the 1965 act, it is John F. Kennedy. Kennedy seems to have inherited the resentment his father Joseph felt as an outsider in Boston’s WASP aristocracy. He voted against the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, and supported various refugee acts throughout the 1950s. In 1958 he wrote a book, A Nation of Immigrants, which attacked the quota system as illogical and without purpose, and the book served as Kennedy’s blueprint for immigration reform after he became president in 1960. In the summer of 1963, Kennedy sent Congress a proposal calling for the elimination of the national origins quota system. He wanted immigrants admitted on the basis of family reunification and needed skills, without regard to national origin. After his assassination in November, his brother Robert took up the cause of immigration reform, calling it JFK’s legacy. In the forward to a revised edition of A Nation of Immigrants, issued in 1964 to gain support for the new law, he wrote, “I know of no cause which President Kennedy championed more warmly than the improvement of our immigration policies.” Sold as a memorial to JFK, there was very little opposition to what became known as the Immigration Act of 1965.”

I saw somewhere this morning, maybe on National Review, that she’s already had to admit that that was just another of her lies.

“I think race has something to do with [Republicans] not bringing up the immigration bill,” House minority leader Nancy Pelosi said this week. “I’ve heard them say to the Irish, ‘If it was just you, it would be easy.’”

Later, her office had to admit she had heard no such thing and that her information came from unnamed Irish immigration activists. Oops.
