I have met about 13 MLB hall of famers in my life. Easily the least likeable was Hank Aaron. I cannot think of a player with a more consistent, durable, stellar career than he had, but as a nice guy, not so much. The best of the bunch I met? Brooks Robinson, with Tony Gwynn a close second.

Willie Mays & Joe DiMaggio are the biggest pricks to ever play the game. Though at least they stayed away from politics

I grew up near Balto. and was 8 when the Orioles won the Series. Brooks was my idol as a player. I met him a couple of times and he was just as amazing in person. Same with Johnny Unitas. Those were the days.
