General Motors (GM) announced Monday that it will take a $750 million charge in the first quarter, including a previously disclosed $300 million charge for three safety actions and the ignition switch recall.
Monday's recall affects some of the same models included in the ignition recall and includes more than 1.3 million vehicles.
Some of these vehicles have already been recalled in the past for the same issue, but GM "did not do enough," according to a company statement.
