Very good graphics. The media has failed to understand the satellite info, and implied that the ‘arcs’ we see are a path that the aircraft must have taken. As the graphic shows, this is not true...the arcs are only representative of where the airplane must have been...at the moment of the last ping. The place could have taken any route to get to a point on that arc.

The authorities are, understandably, not releasing it, but it would be VERY helpful to see the “distance arcs” derived from EACH of the hourly pings. Comparative Analysis of that information on the different arcs could very possibly lead to more precise locations.

The various intelligence agencies almost certainly have more information than they are releasing. Depending upon the scenario, the authorities could actually be releasing/leaking incorrect information to mask what they really do know.
