Very good graphics. The media has failed to understand the satellite info, and implied that the ‘arcs’ we see are a path that the aircraft must have taken. As the graphic shows, this is not true...the arcs are only representative of where the airplane must have been...at the moment of the last ping. The place could have taken any route to get to a point on that arc.
The plane does NOT have to be on or even near the “arcs”. The plane can be anywhere within the area circumscribed by the arcs, which represent the horizon of the satellite, which was located above the Indian Ocean at the location marked on the illustration in Post No. 4.
