Like I asked, are these groups going to be helped? God help us...

Look at Egypt a year after the Arab Spring. What a mess. Some “largely secular” group they turned out to be.

Whom did McCain meet with in Syria? Weren’t we going to arm them?

My opinion: stay completely out of this.

IMHO this is following the same pattern as Egypt and Syria. The EU and the State Dept finds some nice democratically minded groups that they support, but to stay active (and alive) these nice groups have to find stroger allies. They do so, the Muslim Brotherhood, the AQ, Svoboda and the Right Sector, and very soon these not so nice groups have taken over.

The whole gambit trying to wrestle Ukraine from Russia was ill thoughtout, mismanaged and dowright dangerous. If it is at all possible the best solution is to get out of it all. Sorry (not really) if we have to sacrifice some of our “top” politicians in doing so.

I know. I find myself trusting Putin more than our own president. How much longer do we have again under this dingdong who makes me embarrassed to be an American?
