Any income tax is inherently immoral, because it is a tax on the measure of what one provides to the economy.
A consumption tax, however, would be more moral as it taxes what one consumes from the economy.
And, there would be no reason at all for any government agency to interact with an individual person, as it would be the retailers collecting the tax at the point of sale.
Just curious, since you seem to know so much about this. How many inventory audits should the retailer endure each year? Who would perform the audits? Who certifies broken or spoiled product that escapes taxation?
Comsumption Tax!
It would give all the freedom back to the people.
A flat tax would be ok if all would pay the same percentage.
I like the consumption tax because it leaves lifestyle descisions
in the peoples hands and does not hinder a productive society.
Granted........but we all get sucked into this idea that we must have some sort of tax on individuals. How about abolish the income tax.....and replace it with NOTHING!
Stop and think! How did government acquire revenue and pay its bills before 1913?
Hint: The Constitution outlines specific ways the Feds should raise revenue. We became the greatest and strongest nation on Earth without an income tax. Educate yourself on how we did it.
Maybe our Federal Government might be a tad smaller if the original methods were re-established.
