I’m surprised how many people on this thread didn’t care for “Gravity.” I saw in 3D and was very engaged by it and found it very moving. I thought it was unique for taking place almost exclusively in outer space and for being a two-character movie (though primarily a one-character movie). I thought Bullock was great and actually preferred her to Blanchett. Also, even though it was not a religious movie, it ultimately had a kind of spiritual aspect to it.

I was disappointed, I guess. I expected something a little more exciting. There were good parts of it and I didn’t hate it, It just seemed to be missing something.

That could be that there was a lack of development of the characters so that we could empathize with them.

Like when Clooney let go and floated off? I was like, oh well. LOL
