Chamber CEO: U.S. Needs More Low-Skill Immigration Since Americans Are Not 'Qualified" or 'Willing'

Chamber of Commerce CEO Tom Donohue says in an op-ed that the U.S. needs more low-skill immigration because Americans are not "qualified" or "willing" to do such work.

"Immigration can also address labor shortages in lesser-skilled fields where there are insufficient numbers of either qualified or willing U.S. workers to fill positions," Donohue writes.

Alabama senator Jeff Sessions tries to frame the issue differently. “We must transition struggling Americans from welfare and joblessness to work and rising wages,” says Sessions. “But the only plan the President and Senate Democrats appear interested in supporting would hollow out a shrinking American middle class. It is time to redefine 'immigration reform' to serve the legitimate interests of working Americans.”

WTH?! We’ve done those jobs in the past and will do them again when we have to and right now with this horrible economy I’m seeing that very thing happening. The guy is clearly talking out of his a$$ from his own narrow minded perspective. There are white men starting up those very types of businesses and doing them because they can’t find any other work right now. We do what we have to do. Importing illegal competition that doesn’t pay their fare share of taxes isn’t going to fix the problem.

The Chamber wants more low skilled labor.

For what? To landscape their lawns, wash their cars, baby sit their kids?

Low skilled labor means low paid labor. Low paid labor means welfare supplements. Why do we need more welfare recipients?

Where is the logic in paying low skilled Americans NOT to work, then demanding more low skilled workers from other countries? Are foreigners better workers? If so, why?

We already have plenty of low skilled labor: young people & welfare kings/queens. The kids need the work experience & the lazy people can either work or starve.

There are others, like being an addict, having a criminal record, or weighing 400 lbs., but the first two are the main ones.

But the latter one is huge.

Yet we have millions of unemployed college graduates. There is a disconnect somewhere.

Assuming your question isn't rhetorical, the answer is: To Keep Wages Low.

I disagree. To the men at the top its not about money. They are already billionaires many, many, many times over. They have more money than they could ever spend in a lifetime.

For them its about control. Its about power. Its about social engineering. The men at the top are anti-Christian, anti-White, and anti-Western Civilization.

They are using mass Third-world migration here and in Europe to displace and dispossess us in our own countries. They are grinding us down economically, socially, culturally, and even our individually so they can not possibly resist them. They want to loot and lord over us as God-Kings.

> With the Chamber and American businesses now in the enemy camp, where does that leave the people who are paying all the bills for this Ponzi scheme?

The law abiding, hardworking Christian middle class has been turned into slaves. That’s where we are.

Someone needs to ask Mr. Donaho just what he expects to happen to all those imported low skilled workers over their first 20 years.

HINT: Overload Schools causing a funding crisis
Overload Medical Services
Overload Police Departments
Overload Prison Systems
Overload Local Social Service Programs
Overload State Social Service Programs
Overload Federal Social Service Programs

All so the Democrats can stay in power and MegaFarmers/Corps. can drive down the Wages of American Citizens and make Billions for their share holders and line the pockets of CongressCritters.

Everyone wins but the American Working Stiff! We get bill and that additional benefit of watching our Country get destroyed from within!

> “Not willing to work”...then we’re giving out too much ‘welfare’ type assistance.

You don’t work, you don’t eat is something I taught my kids growing up and they are responsible, self-sufficient, hardworking, and successful today because of it. If you truly love your children you teach them these things for a reason. The current Satanic government just doesn’t seem to understand the concept of wisdom. And they wonder why they are in te current mess they’re in ehich they won’t even admit.

welfare and perma-unemployment checks

Another factor is that too many people get college degrees and too few actually learn how to do something while they're in HS.

We need to go back to shop classes in the schools. You'd have less discipline and special needs problems if those less academic students were learning something useful. Get rid of the roadblocks to starting a small business and teach students how to earn money meeting communtiy needs. And stop the tyranny that the education overlords have on what's taught.

A lot of that would happen if it were less compfortable to not work and if businesses knew that they had to sort out matching US citizens with jobs they have potential for.

A good place to look would be to recruit students right out of HS to take a job with training and a paycheck rather that go to a school with more academics and a loan.

Because the big shots at the Chamber of Commerce want a pool of docile slave-labor wage paid illiterate illegal workers. These people are the new slave plantation owners. The Chamber of Commerce isn't happy with laying off Americans and shipping their companies overseas, they want a perpetual source of slave labor. It is the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce that is “unqualified” or “unwilling” to hire Americans because they “cost too much”.

Worked summers when I was a kid for minumum wage at McDonalds ($3.35/hr if I recall correctly) and umpired little league in the evenings.

highest immigration growth rate

This could mean red states that had little to no immigration, but are now beginning to see more immigrants. So, they still have low crime rates, but, of course, that will change.

“Growth Rate” is the operative phrase.

There is a future, almost here, when the most mundane of tasks can be done by robots. Robots don’t get sick, don’t need to go to the doctor, don’t join unions, don’t need salaries, and can work without sleep (except for some periodic maintenance). Robots will eliminate the need for a slave labor, low wage class to do low kill jobs. This means the illegal aliens have no work (or Americans either).

What’s the Chamber of Commerce solution to this — more taxpayer funded welfare for the permanently unemployable? Who’s going to be working under the kinds and types of punitive taxes applied to individuals and businesses alike? I’ll guarantee you that the Chamber of Commerce doesn’t have a clue (or an answer) to this very real scenario that’s approaching like an express train.

I know several un/underemployed black folk who take umbrage at the regime (won't stop them for voting for THE ONE though) and the USCOG on the whole “work that Americans don't want to do” thing.

Aides taking care of grandma in the nursing home.

I feel very sorry for old people being looked after by Caribbean immigrants. Even if the aides are good people, they are from another culture, have accents that are difficult to understand, faces that are different.

It’s physically demanding, emotionally difficult work, that requires compassionate and trustworthy people who we trust our vulnerable parents and grandparents too. It pays at most a subsistence living, and the government and the nursing home corporations want to drive it lower yet.

Perhaps that is why they all go on record to proclaim loudly their own willingness to pay high taxes.

They seem to really want a Global Government, with themselves in charge of everything. These are the people that already own 80%-90% of everything, their children and spouses sit on the corporate boards, they choose and control the national leaders everywhere.

They seem to be engineering the end of nation states and the decimation of indigenous Caucasian populations. Robotics would mean a decimation of all remaining populations, as well.

We must be at the tipping point if they are abandoning stealth feudalism for the overt kind.

The Will Smith movie, “I, Robot” showed a glimpse into the future where robots achieve enough artificial intelligence to replace humans. Game, set, match for the elite humans who want to run the world. The AI robots are smarter than you effete, elitist fools. The so-called governing elites really won't have a clue how to handle their AI replacements because the robots will have anticipated every move they will make. Humans will lose this battle.
