Jennifer Wexton wins Virginia Senate special election to succeed Mark Herring

Democrat Jennifer Wexton bested two veteran Loudoun County politicians Tuesday night to earn a seat in the Senate of Virginia and almost assuredly give Virginia Democrats majority power in Richmond for the first time since 2009.

Ms. Wexton's victory over Republican John Whitbeck and former Republican state Del. Joe May, running his Senate race as an independent, caps a momentous two months for Democrats in Virginia, whom last November swept the top three offices in the commonwealth – the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general posts – for the first time in two decades.

Spitting the Republican vote would seem to be the issue here. Like the recent gubernatorial race.

I have said this many times, but I will say it again here - we have seen our last ‘honest’ elections.

Any election that would have national impact or impact on any agenda being pushed by D.C. will be decided for us by the Ruling Class.

“Elections” will be stage shows to create the illusion of choice in order to placate the masses.

This election will be the first of many that will follow in suit of ‘blue’ (in reality Communist Red).

Yep. Must be time to bankroll the green party, wildlife party, save the whales party, etc.

Former Republican state Del. Joe May is an IDIOT. The Virginia “conservatives” did the same thing for the VA governor’s race.

This May clown made it so that the republican didn’t have a chance. It wasn’t even a race with that clown in the race. He made certain the democrat was a shoe in. The same happened with the governor’s race.

I am so sick of so-called conservatives helping demos get elected. These folks can kiss my .........

Just being realistic. Better to focus resources on Colorado, which is actually starting to turn against its leftist masters. The Democrats just won a Quadrafecta in Virginia in a small space of time. It would appear the McDonnell implosion has taken the state party down with it.

Virginia has gone blue with all the influx of government workers.

And third world immigrants. Parts of Northern Virginia are now heavily populated by immigrants, legal and otherwise. And it's a center of Jihadist activity too.

Hey, Virginia enjoy your chains.

Amnesty for illegal immigrants will turn the entire U.S. into a communist country, for always!

From what I read on facebook, the percentages today matched the same as Romney v. Obama in 2012 in this district. Not sure how the third-party RINO candidate affected things today.

“Spitting the Republican vote would seem to be the issue here. Like the recent gubernatorial race.”

Not really.

“Ms. Wexton led Mr. Whitbeck 53 percent to 37 percent. Mr. May had garnered nearly 10 percent of the vote.”

“I am so sick of so-called conservatives helping demos get elected. These folks can kiss my .........”

I’ve been told by a North Virginia resident that the May clown was the mainstream republican and Whitbeck was the conservative.

But the dem got over 50% regardless. It is Northern VA after all.
