“Ever driven a VW bug? Lol.”

Yes, used to ski with a friend here in CA who had one. They are actually pretty good in the snow for a two wheel drive vehicle, but the heater consisted of directing the air that’s drawn over the cylinders by the engine cooling fan into a couple of floor-moiunted ducts that both heat the passenger compartment and defrost the windshield. We took lots of dry rags to wipe off the inside of the windshield and a stout scraper to get the ice off the other side. The sun roof came in handy for the required scraping while under way. going to Tahoe was usually an “adventure.”

Ya. The engine was over the rear wheels. Pretty decent handling on dry roads, too. And a simple but reliable engine.

A good little car.
