Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs said Wednesday that he plans to reveal the results of his offices investigation into the alleged sexual assault case involving Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston at a press conference at 2 p.m. Thursday.
An alleged victim said that Winston raped her last December, while Winstons attorney said the sex was consensual. The alleged victims family released a statement two weeks ago questioning the investigation.

I doubt there are charges unless Winston is arrested between now and tomorrow.
The AJC had a longer story saying that the fact that a subpoena is not being issued but instead a news conference is scheduled indicates no charges will be filed. It will end up being a case of he said-she said.
What Im trying to figure out is why the girl would say it was rape unless it was. What does she have to gain? Apparently she had to leave school (you can only imagine how the FSU students would feel about someone threatening their precious QB). Help me out here, Freepers...
My understanding is that she had been drinking that night, which means she probably was plastered. So she probably wasn’t aware whether she consented or not, but apparently her roommate said she did not consent or something to that effect.
My 2 cents worth. Just another symptom of how corrupt are society is becoming. You are right there is nothing for her to gain but justice, and a pretty hefty price to pay from the corrupt sleazeballs at MSM, FSU, NCAA, & FL courts. They will not bring a case of rape when it’s the star QB and appears to be a ‘reversed racism’ angle compared with the Duke case.
Jack Cashill wrote a good article on this just today too.
Looks like no charges.
Actually, I’d read her BAC was within legal limits.
Looks like no charges.
I’m not surprised after the Duke Lacrosse case prosecutors want to be on solid ground. My question is whether the accuser will pursue a civil case? She was forced to drop out of FSU over her insistence that the sex was not consensual.
The 'integrity' phrase in the Heisman description might lose a few votes for the trophy.
Does anyone know the race of the accuser?
I know I went to FSU back when dinosaurs ruled the earth, but that school had/has some very deep south attitudes when it comes to race. If the accuser was a white sorority girl it would not surprise me if this was a case of “I did what?” the next morning and going through the motions of filing charges just to be able to keep her social standing and not have Mom and Dad kill her if they ever found out.

Like being punished with a little Barack Obama?
The talk around here is that there were two “witnesses.” Both are friends of Winston. How do you become a witness to rape you ask....?
Once the DNA tests came back it became consensual sex.
