Winning a battle that costs you a war is no victory.
The silver lining from President Obamas and Senate Democrats unprecedented power grab last week is that now a conservative Republican president can appoint a Supreme Court that will restore the Constitution to its historical place in our nations life, revitalizing limited government and safeguarding fundamental rights.
Had conservatives invoked the nuclear option, mainstream media outlets would have given it wall-to-wall coverage under the banner, The Death of Democracy in America. MSNBC hosts might have openly wept on camera. Instead, those outlets are virtually silent, and what little coverage they gave made this sound like a boring, inside-the-beltway bureaucratic parlor game.

Kennedy was appointed by a pubbie, roberts was appointed by a pubbie, souter was appointed by a pubbie, stevens was apointed by a pubbie. The only solution “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers,” Then there won’t be any of these men in black dresses/judges
Obama is going to stack the courts this coming year with crazy liberals before the elections take place in November. Even if the Pubs take the Senate in 2014, the damage will have been done and Obama’s selections will be firmly in place until they die or step down. By that time, there will be so many bad decisions coming down that it won’t matter if the Pubs win the Senate or not.
RE: “Finish ‘em off - retake the Senate in 2014.”
That is not going to happen.
The Democrats are convinced - with good cause - that the GOP will never again hold the White House or the Senate.
They also believe the GOP will permanently lose control of the House by 2022, after the new Census, if not sooner.
The math is obvious.
80% of new immigrant citizens vote for the Democrat Party.
And, every election, voter participation for Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians continues to go up.
We cannot depend on the courts people. They are not reliable at all.
Well the idea is nice but it only works if you can clear the critters already on the supreme court.
