As vulnerable Democrats, realizing the inevitable, abandon the Obamacare ship to avoid being pulled under with it, Democrats are hoping that the Republican Party will similarly implode. President Obama, in conjunction with leading Democrats, has worked tirelessly to drive a wedge in the Republican Party by trying to pit moderate Republicans against conservatives.
While the Republican Party can certainly benefit from stronger adherence to principles of limited government, the call for a split of the Republican Party (and their power) is most prominent amongst Democrats who recognize that a divided party is a weaker opponent.
Recently, Breitbart News reported that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had railed against Tea Party and conservative legislators in a conference call to donors. Breitbart reported that, according to an anonymous source, Sen. McConnell had ranted against the Tea Party and named Tea Party Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee by name.

The anonymous source also claimed that the principled Senate conservatives were schoolyard bullies that needed a punch in the nose.
What a win for Democrats! That is, if it were true.
It seems that the anonymous source had an agenda of his own or otherwise misunderstood the Senators comments as The Washington Examiner obtained a recording of the entire conversation, provided by American Crossroads PAC. the article ends up pleading “let’s not play their [dems] game.”
Of course, the subtext of articles like this is that “unity” is achieved by stopping all challenges to R leadership, making sure the oatmealish RINO’s are nominated and then voting for them in huge numbers.
Of course, the alternative subtext is that leadership should start listening to Republicans, that liberty/conservatives should be nominated, and all the moderate R’s should vote for them in huge numbers.
If you are not a GOPe apologist/sycophant then you have my apology. If support any GOPe candidate then you have my derision. Please be clear about where you stand.
Define "win".
If you're talking about re-electing incumbent Senators and Reps solely because they've got an R velcroed to their sleeve, then you're wasting your attention and effort, merely to gain a hollow majority.
We're in a fight to save this country. Collaborators and quislings will sell us out just as fast as our avowed enemies. Probably even faster.
Ted Cruz has set the bar. If a candidate (incumbent or not) doesn't measure up to that standard, they'll get no vote, and no attention from me.
AMEN!
Not No! He77 No.
She was a fruit cake on radio and on tv.
She lost because she got no support from the guy whom she beat in the primary. Who was a horse’s @ss I might add.
