the pad. Saw it on NASA-TV. Still go for launch at this time.

If you are going to launch into a polar or high latitude orbit it doesn't much matter where you launch from.

Being near the equator becomes more important the nearer to an equatorial orbit you desire. A good example is a geosynchronous orbit.

I think I saw it in upper east Tenn. Very faint - too fast for an airplane.

haha, oops, sorry! Virginia outer suburb of DC. There are some fb postings saying lots of sightings over Ashburn including the booster separation.

Same here in the Philly burbs - bright orange light easily visible with the naked eye.

I think that I saw it (from SW Connecticut) - bright orange dot, moving up and to the left (from the southwest towards the south), blinked out for a bit (second stage cutoff?) then back on, finally just disappeared.

I was trying to get it on ‘film’ (digital camera with a fisheye adapter lens, two and a half minute exposure), but did not manage to capture it.
