Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifies on the hill, Wednesday, concerning healthcare.gov’s problems since its October 1 rollout. She’ll answer questions before the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
This is the committee’s second hearing related to the website problems. Last week, four government contractors hired to help build the site testified. Tuesday, Marilyn Tavener, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator, appeared before the Ways & Means Committee.
CMS is responsible for setting up the federal marketplace for insurance exchanges and the Medicaid expansion. Rep. Fred Upton chairs the committee and Rep. Henry Waxman serves as Ranking Member.

Why don’t the republicans stay off the subject of the computer “glitch?” That is not the problem, that is a blessing. They need to pound on the fact that people were lied to by their government and therefore this law should be invalid.

Using the PROGs’ favorite AUTO INSURANCE analogy, this is no longer the same as states demanding that you buy car insurance. This is now similar to a state knocking on your door, asking to see a copy of your insurance plan, determining that your Liability Insurance plan is not sufficient, so they tear it up and issue you a FINE until you get FULL coverage.
Someone needs to hand this data to Sebilius:
Sebelius says they had to open by Oct. 1st to meet the deadlines in the statute.
YET they fought tooth and nail a delay of the statute to allow enough time. SHEESH

Exactly. They are “only” real people whom are being hurt. The lack of compassion for such real people is blatant. All with eyes should see or ears should hear.

they need to investigate , question, why the Canadian company with a poor track record was given the contract they obviously aren’t qualified to handle

The real question is why was this firm selected but ARE qualified, why are they covering for something else? The website being down is the cover for something else.

Rogers was the best one so far. The security issues are really concerning.
