Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifies on the hill, Wednesday, concerning healthcare.gov’s problems since its October 1 rollout. She’ll answer questions before the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
This is the committee’s second hearing related to the website problems. Last week, four government contractors hired to help build the site testified. Tuesday, Marilyn Tavener, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator, appeared before the Ways & Means Committee.
CMS is responsible for setting up the federal marketplace for insurance exchanges and the Medicaid expansion. Rep. Fred Upton chairs the committee and Rep. Henry Waxman serves as Ranking Member.
“17,000 per hour can sign up”
Using a population of 313 million, this will take only 2.1 years to sign up each person.
Not including illegals, and assumming “Verizon’s” server stays up.
Lois Lerner and Sebelius would have been recruited by Adolf, ya think?
Sebelius has the same flicking tongue issue as John Kerry. Is that a lie thing?

All right: tired of the non-questions. They had an extra week before she showed up, and then we get this? They should be asking...
1. How is the data being secured? What other agencies - in or out of government - have access to it (now or in the future)?
2. Why is the cost of the website so out of control? (Should be an IG audit already in progress, if HHS was doing its job). Where is that money going?
3. Who picked the contractors? Why? Why was this sole-sourced?
4. Have you published a full list of the exchange pricing - since the website is clearly wrong?
5. When did you know you weren’t ready for the launch?
6. How many health care providers are signed up for the new federal programs?
That’s a start.

According to Sebelius, the website has never crashed. I guess the ‘website is down’ message means it went nose up and has stalled.

Couldn’t agree more our old people in office should learn to ‘tighten’ up on their elections.
I went to it yesterday to see if there were people in my area who could help fill out forms or whatever... It would not show me anything, just kept unclicking the boxes I had checked.

Somebody really needs to nail them to the wall over their use of “essential coverage” with regard to making men have maternity coverage and so forth.
It would be so easy to get these people to perjure themselves, and then prosecute them.
