After the man said he smokes "sometimes," Obama said he chews Nicorette nicotine gum and that "I haven't had a cigarette in probably six years."
He then jokes: "That' because I'm scared of my wife."

No one quits smoking unless HE or SHE decides to do so. The non-smoker smoker hides it from the one who wants him or her to quit.

My Mom is still chewing it too. Its been well over a decade. Nicotine addiction is hard to defeat for some.

The issue raised wasn’t what the recommendation was....the statement was that NOBODY does this. That is a false statement.
