Rand, Cruz and Lee have strategy sessions every morning. They know what they are doing.

Are you saying that Rand Paul is creating a diversion with a fake pass to throw off the Demoscum? (And RINO's?)

The House holds all the constitutional cards in the appropriations game.

Absolutely! Leave it to the long ago American heroes who composed the Constitution to get it right, those old boys knew from experience about an all-powerful government and how treacherous it can be.

The Constitution's authors designed Congress to be the People's House, so let's tell our reps in no uncertain terms to ignore the sticks and stones that the far left media will throw at them and starve the Obamacare monster in it's vile cradle. It's now become obvious that the American people don't want any part of abominable Obamacare, and we MUST let our critters in Congress know that we will stick with them in the next election if they will simply do what we elected them to do in the previous election. If that means shutting down most of the government for a while so be it, we can outlast the other side because we aren't dependent on government for practically everything we need or want and they are.

Outstanding comment.

And this is a great point:

"we can outlast the other side because we aren't dependent on government for practically everything we need or want and they are."

I think Paul is afraid of being attacked like Cruz, which IMO means he is more Washington establisment than not.

Hell, now Rand is a defeatist? Doesn't even know what to try?

The Republic is ending and I'm glad I'm getting in latter days so I don't have to watch the greatest experiment in liberty die. I cry for my kids and my grand-children.

I remember all our freedoms. I grew up with those freedoms and cherished them all from my teens on. I joined the Navy because I believe in those liberties and wanted to protect them. Now, our Fedgov has limited almost every one of the Constitutional freedoms that I swore an Oath to defend. They limit our liberties from cradle to grave.

I will still fight, but I'm getting more dismayed every day as the Fedgov controls our lives.

Bless you Jim. We had our issues, but I've always known you to be the truest Patriot. Best wishes on your operation.

Why do we care about the credit rating of theses united States?

Why should we want it to be “cheap” for the present generation of politicians to spend the money of future generations instead of relying upon present voters for the revenue their acts require?

Credit might be a great idea when it comes to an individual who has but one life to live and doesn’t pass on his or her debt’s to his or her children, but its a terribly unfair & unjust idea for a country!

So why is it that we should desire to preserve this credit rating?

Indeed the reason we have such large amounts of debt today is in no small a measure a direct result of the relative ease by which theses burdens were created by politicians who enjoyed all the benefits of the spending while leaving the burdens to we the future.

They could do this for one simple reason: The USA has good credit and therefore access to cheap money from the future. This of course is not sustainable, as there comes a point now foreseeable in our future where the interest upon that growing debt will be greater than our revenue, and the burdens already in ‘law’ upon us will be so great and so defended by a now dependent constituency that there could be no solution short of the wild promises of fascism.

If you care for democracy, or event justice for the future I urge you to destroy the credit rating of theses united States!

There can be no more justice than there is fiscal accountability over the long run. Just as there can be no democracy among a dependent population at war over what little remains of each other’s wallets.

“In The Federalist No. 58, James Madison described the centrality of the power of the purse’s role in the growth of representative government and its particular importance in the Constitution’s governmental structure:

“The House of Representatives cannot only refuse, but they alone can propose the supplies requisite for the support of the government. They, in a word, hold the purse—that powerful instrument by which we behold, in the history of the British Constitution, an infant and humble representation of the people gradually enlarging the sphere of its activity and importance, and finally reducing, as far as it seems to have wished, all the overgrown prerogatives of the other branches of government. This power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect every just and salutary measure.”

Well someone should tell mister James Maddsion that this power is about to be demonstrated dead in the hands of the republican party if they vote not to uphold such cuts, there can be no stopping any president or Federal government from gaining power.

This quote from James Maddison from Federal 58 should be reprinted on EVERY news Broadcast and news paper in America. Americans should know that their republic is dead before a useless house.
