Senator John McCain had harsh words for Great Britain Friday following that countrys decision to not participate in a coordinated attack on Syria.
Appearing on NBCs Tonight Show, McCain said, I feel badly about the British. They're our dear friends, but they're no longer a world power. It's just a fact of life.
Very very ill due to Washingtonitis needs a Termlimit injection perhaps a recall ejection would help.
and neither is John McCain
I had this a-holes number way back in 2001 when I first wrote that. I’ve added to it since, but the first authoring had him appearing multiple times even then, because I knew how dangerous and evil he was.
Brits know when to stay out of things that aren’t their business. 0bama and his yard boy McCain do not. McCain is a steaming pile of dog poo.
Way to go McLame.
As bad as Obama is, McLame would have been even worse.
I’ve heard stories that lead me to believe that the man was not liked, to put it mildly, by his fellow POWs. And that they had very good reasons for that dislike. But their code didn’t allow them to talk about it very much.
But even if you are correct, the fact remains that former heroes can turn into traitors.
To wit, Benedict Arnold, the hero of the Battle of Saratoga.
Some might argue that under Obama, we’re not either
That's an insult to steaming piles of dog poo.
But they are still absolutely a world power. For example, do they, or do they not possess nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them?
Secondly, the timing and tone are important: He slapped at the British. If this had been said at a neutral time, then there would be no overtones.
No, he said this NOW, with the express purpose of slapping at the British and bolstering Obama. That should be evident, and tell you much.
I would say that with obama in charge, WE are no longer a world power...
Sorry. “I apologize to all the steaming piles of dog poo out there. You are smarter and smell better than McCain. Please forgive me.”
You mean, they won't be sending their youth off to die on the other side of the world anymore? Oh. What a horrible fate!
“Take a look at the once-great Royal Navy after decades of Socialism:”
Royal Navy warships 1980 - 100
Royal Navy warships 2011 - 50
US Navy warships 1980 - 530
US Navy warships 2011 - 285
Looks like the US Navy is headed down the same path.
Some reasons why Britain is still a world power:
1. It has nuclear weapons, and the means to deliver them anywhere on the planet;
2. Britain is a permanent member of UN Security Council;
3. Battle-hardened military;
4. Bases in strategic locations around the globe;
5. World’s fourth largest military budget;
4. Ranking member of the Commonwealth Realm (16 nations which have the Queen as Head of State). The Realm includes Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and has a population of over 175 million. Great Britain can absolutely count on other Realm nations as allies, in the event it is ever attacked.
Some non-military reasons include:
1. Britain is a world financial centre.
2. The British diplomatic corps seems to outclass the U.S. SOS.
Heh. Think how differently life would have been if Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords not switched to Dem back then? McQueeg was going to do it, had meetings out on the ranch in AZ with Dasshole to discuss it. (I was there protesting, along with my shiny new bride!) The only reason he didn’t was because Jeffords did it first, and all the promised perks evaporated like a Monsoon Haboob.
McQueeg would be a footnote by now. Assuming he stayed in the Senate (likely), he would have been against Obama in the 2008 Primaries.
How dare those Brits not elect to throw their soldiers into yet another hopeless Mideast meat grinder.
McCain should pick up a rifle and head over there with Linda if he’s got such a hard-on for war.
He didn’t get the memo. His buddy Barry is getting cold feet.
Spoken like a ten year old admiral's son.
If anyone needed more evidence that the fix was in in 2008 ...
McQueeg can be counted upon to stab people in the back at the worse possible moment. It’s his trademark.
I had forgotten about that. Yes, in 2008, we had the choice between two far-left liberal democrats. Wow...
