Military thinkers from Sun Tzu to Napoleon Bonaparte have long emphasized the element of surprise. So it might seem strange that the Obama administration is not just clearly telegraphing that it likely plans to launch limited strikes against Syria, but also when it

What the Moron Obama and the Washington Post do not know is what will actually happen when the dogs of war are unleashed.

No war goes predictably. They all go unpredictably.

Next, the WaPo will explain the brilliance of a failed military attack.

It’s delicious to watch this unfold.

Yeah, the possibility of WWIII is a thought I've always relished.

The "mainstream" media, still carrying King Zero's water (and his diapers).

They'll explain away anything for him, But now, if Bush was still Prez (or Romney was), WaPo would be questioning the sanity of the guy and this whole "operation". But with their selected boy-king wannabe? All is lightness and good!

What ever happened to economic sanctions?

Perhaps we should cut off their foreign aid to punish them instead of risking the lives out our soldiers, sailors and airmen.

Just put human shields in place at the target sites and the boy will not fire.

If Obama plays his cards right, he can succeed in launching a strike against Syria that will allow him to falsely posture as a "leader" while inflicting no meaningful damage - except to Israel, which will be punished for whatever we do.

From a left-wing, Islam-friendly perspective: it's a win-win.

PS - Unless Bastard Asshat himself is actually HURT by the attacks, how can they claim they are intended to punish him?

And I know the goal is not to harm Asshat, because Obama’s wind-up toy said so in a press conference yesterday.

the rebels can pack the sites with women and children and blame it on Assad,,,see how easy that is? Obama doesn’t care. It’s not about the people of Syria. It’s about him proving something to Putin who has been yanking his chain. Obama is perfectly happy to terrorize the people of Syria by making them fear an impending military strike. That’s how SICK he is.

>"be placed in a position of having to negotiate a comprehensive peace deal "

Can't have a seven year peace treaty without a war preceding it. Also Damascus has to be destroyed.

Pay no attention to that fictional book called the bible. /s

Good point FRiend, hope you are well and as always, good to see you.

Seems there are so many different angles to ponder here, and all valid ones.

The problem I am having is figuring out what is the truth in all the stories coming out on this....was it Al Assad, the Rebels, was it a “rogue” agent in Assad’s military, maybe a plant??

I “See a Bad Moon Arising” to quote an old famous band.

He’s been too clever by half, as the Brits are so fond of saying.

He must now follow thru or risk becoming the laffing stock of the Middle East (as if he already wasn’t).

This has the potential of becoming a global disaster............

As Yoda said, “There is no ‘why’.” Only lies can “explain” something so utterly and blatantly foolish.

Agree with your post I do.

The purpose of Obama setting a red line was so that he could say it was violated and become a war time President

If that were the case, why didn't he launch an attack the first time his red line was crossed?
