White people are products of their own whitewashed, sanitized environment. Black people have been systematically excluded from white neighborhoods. Black stories rarely surface in popular culture. The history of race in high school textbooks has been boiled down to a handful of bedtime stories about Jackie Robinson and Rosa Parks. Try to tap into the average white person's feelings on race and you won't necessarily find feelings of hate and antipathy. You just won't find much of anything, no fully formed or well-considered thoughts about race of any kind. There's nothing really there. Even white people who want black friends don't know where to start.

As far as Oregon goes, I grew up in Coos County—it doesn’t get much whiter than that. At my high school in the mid-80’s we had 2 black kids (out of over a 1000). I never heard of them having any problems fitting in—but their numbers were so small that there was no question of a sub-culture.
You’d be surprised how many young white guys do too. My workplace used to have low tolerance for harsh swear words but years later with the turnover bringing them in younger the supervisors themselves run around the office using the F-word pretty frequently. No regard for women or for decorum in a workplace anymore.

It’s easy to generalize, and some generalizations do in fact exist, but black Americans come literally in all shapes, sizes, and temperments. In my own experience older employed or retired blacks can be delightful people, as well as some youth. However we all know our disfunctional inner cities and impoverished areas seem to be breeding grounds for what is little more than mixed-race feral humans, stubborn, ignorant, and prone to a life of criminal activity and violence. The reasons for this are subject to debate, but a large amount of blame goes to a form of planned institutionalized ignorance and racism taught through schools and “social activists”, and toxic messages of entitlement and victimhood foisted by elements of global communism and other nefarious groups that need an army useful idiots.

I’ve heard this often but I wonder if the numbers are really true. Turn on my local news (which I don’t often do because it’s usually all about the city) and black people are mostly what you see. All 3 top managers at my work are black people . If I take a drive around the streets of my old town or the new I will see an even number of hispanics, blacks and whites with some areas being predominantly minorities. I have been at parks, in stores, restaurants and feel like I’m the minority.
I have black friends. And I wouldn’t be bothered if they moved next door. There are some blacks I want no where near me. There are blacks. Then there are __________(fill in the blank.) They totally different and neither wants to live near the other. There are also white families I don’t want living near me. The first crack house or the first driveway mechanic with cars parked on the grass, if the HOA can’t do anything about it, I’m gone.
I dated a black woman for a while, in fact we were going to get married, however, every time we went some where she found a reason to be mad at some white person.Always she found someone who was "dissing" her. Her family was just as bad.I finally couldn't take it any more and broke it off. Her son, from a marriage that went bad, ended up killing a white guy a few years after I broke up with her and is now spending the rest of his life in Prison, without parole.
The only other group of people in America who are constantly pissed are the Muslims.

I have multiple close friends with black, white, Asian, and Hispanic ancestry. What I don’t have are any black, white, Asian, and Hispanic friends who think their race is important on a day-to-day basis - I avoid racists.

This confused framework presupposes the issue.
Christian culture emphasizes no discrimination in race regarding the soul and spirit in a relationship with God. Following the Christian thought process, race isn't an issue.
Many pagan beliefs instead become preoccupied with environment and evolution shaping our thinking and culture more than faith through Christ.
The quote above manifests a trapped way of thinking. First it presumes thinking is a racially dependent function. It doesn't discern between culture or thinking process but begins by categorizing parties by race.
A major problem in US culture is an African-American culture which has identified its thinking with its race and its race with its behavior, then basing all relationships outside themselves as racial relationships.
Such a perspective will always promote racism vice relationships outside of race. Asking why whites don't equally value this way of thinking presumes such a racial culture is equal to freedom loving republics, when it instead attempts to replace freedom with racial disharmony.
Except for himself and his white friends, of course.
Interesting how the word "diversity" has come to mean "black percentage". Then again, the NAACP never represented any yellow or red CP.
