White people are products of their own whitewashed, sanitized environment. Black people have been systematically excluded from white neighborhoods. Black stories rarely surface in popular culture. The history of race in high school textbooks has been boiled down to a handful of bedtime stories about Jackie Robinson and Rosa Parks. Try to tap into the average white person's feelings on race and you won't necessarily find feelings of hate and antipathy. You just won't find much of anything, no fully formed or well-considered thoughts about race of any kind. There's nothing really there. Even white people who want black friends don't know where to start.

Almost all my friends are Native American some of them are American Indian and a couple of them are black.
I am old enough to remember when Native Americans didn’t consider Indian to be a racial slur.
I also have some black relatives and we all get along fine.
why don’t black people have lots of white friends? why do they stay in mostly black neighborhoods in urban areas?
why are these black neighborhoods so hostile to anyone who isn’t black?

i don’t invite strangers of any color into my home.
i have zero liberal friends, which knocks out at least 40-50% of whites, and 95% or more of blacks.
i have liberal family, but they’re family and we’re civil if we don’t discuss certain things.

With the “Mother” Preamble! And they delight in using the “N” word prolifically in front of us. I used to have a black friend. He taught me how to drink beer and drive and never let anyone see you doing it.
Terrible mistake. Lot's of loud bassy music. Lot's of shooting. One kid picked up a running hose in my yard and sprayed me with it, laughing. Garbage in the yard.
Apologies to any black conservatives that might be reading, but never again. I get one life. I'm not wasting anymore time trying to be fair while I'm made miserable.

This is from a class I was forced to take in the US Army. All whites were guilty of something.

Secular people in particular see a complete racial chasm. It’s not uncommon for white folks committed to Jesus to have a number of black friends from their work on His behalf even (or perhaps especially) in communities with substantial de facto housing segregation.

i really have no interest watching grown men of any color, groping, tackling, and fighting each other for various balls, for hours at a time.

I can definitely understand that. I do not make friends with liberals either.
I find that I have hardened on this more recently, with the final setting taking place over Martin and Zimmerman.
I have seen how they are now. I know what they think of me and those like me. I have done nothing to warrant their perceptions of me.
Having this unfortunate knowledge now, the feeling has become mutual. Relations are poisoned.

don’t know. can’t speak for all whites or blacks. given population percentages it sure seems’easier’for blacks to have white friends. let them be friends with all the guilty white liberals who voted for obama.
