Are you sure -- almost 900,000/year?
Still 219,000 a year.
Q: How many World War II veterans are alive today?
A: According to statistics released by the Veterans Administration, our World War II vets are dying at a rate of just over 600 a day. This means there are approximately only 1.2 million veterans remaining of the 16 million who served our nation in World War II.
Almost a million a year seems way out there as there were only 16.1 million total; maybe I remember it wrong.
