While killing the fawn is tragic, the story here is armed Dept of Natural Resources Officers, seriously? Military style operation over a deer? Can you imagine what else "they" are planning with all the "practice drills?

Nothing to see here, folks.

It’s just the “dignified” extinction paradigm marching smartly forward.

Essentially, the wildlife and “conservation” departments all around North America have slowly been taken over by extreme animal “rights” activists, who are very much of the mindset that “wild” animals are better off dead than EVER interacting with humans in any way, shape or form.
A similar story to this one played out a few years back in Oregon as well, when orphaned cougar kittens whose mother had been run over by a truck were turned in to a wildlife sanctuary. The director of Oregon Fish & Game sent in armed agents to seize and shoot the cougar kittens, and the director made the public statement that if the mother was already dead, then it was far more “humane” to “let nature take its course” with regards to the kittens.

...Letting nature take its course, somehow being defined as making those kittens die of acute lead poisoning.

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” - Barack Obama 2008

1) where is the photo shop of bambi being seized like Elian Gonzalez?

2) These guys are so efficient and ready for blood- maybe they should be deputized to go find the Benghazi terrorists who butchered our ambassador, since the no one else seems to be finding them

They used armed force to kill the fawn, lest it be abused?

No.

They used nonsensically overwhelming force to prove that the King’s deer are not to be touched by the common folk, not for the sake of the deer, but to make a clear point on who weilds power in the realm.

Ok.... nearly everyday there is a news story somewhere about people killing wildlife “out of season”.

These heavily armed “agents” obviously broke the hunting laws, they conspired to commit a felony and carried out the felony.

Almost every government agency now has swat teams. There’s really no reason for the EPA, IRS and other agencies to have them except that they CAN—and they look cool on the charts.

Here is a place where the sequester should be used.
