Friday's jobs report was disappointing, but it also contained a truly heartbreaking statistic. Black teen unemployment is a shocking 41.6%. In July last year, the unemployment was considerably lower, at 36%. That almost half of black teens who want to work can't find jobs is a stain on Obama's economic policies.
This isn't a numbers trick. This isn't a rate based on the whole black teen population in the country. This is the proportion of the black teen population that is looking for work but can't find a job. Just in March, the number was eight points lower at 33%. The white teen unemployment rate is half the black rate, although still high at 20%.
The heartbreaking thing is that these teens haven't given up hope and left the job market, something that has artificially lowered the overall unemployment rate. The unemployment rate is based on those who want a job and are trying to find one.

As they speak on their Obama phones, living in homes paid for by the taxpayer, going to summer programs run with money donated by rich people and corporations, as they get prescriptions for free from s-chip programs and eat food purchased with EBT cards and travel on subsidized public transportation and to stores where they get free backpacks filled with school supplies.
On the way home, they get buzzed (on their obama phones)about a flash mob where they procure free clothes and maybe even some food from businesses owned by people barely scraping by.
But, we don’t do enough, we are cowards and the problems are my doing because I don’t pay enough taxes.
That’s ok. I’m sure most are spending their time reading the classics, enjoying the wilderness, learning about culture, and volunteering at charities.
If your looking for a job, it helps if you know how to do something.
This is going to continue to get worse.... thank Obama and his filthy democrats. Then thank the MSM and the race baiters.

How do they distinguish between the "black teen population" as a whole and that which is looking for work? And of that subset, how many are qualified for even entry-level jobs?
The white teen unemployment rate is half the black rate, although still high at 20%.
Nationwide, this wouldn't surprise me, as black teens are most likely concentrated in urban areas and non-business-friendly settings. Of course, the inference is that white teens are somehow getting "something for nothing" over black teens.

It IS shameful and it is horribly pitiful. But you could blast this statistic over loudspeakers in the middle of the ghetto and they WOULD NOT CARE. They will STILL stand behind Obama because it is Bush’s fault, whitey’s fault, and everyone else’s fault in between.
Learning marketable skills unfortunately is “acting white.”
