Conservative bloggers went wild Monday when they got wind of the Congressional Black Caucus’ suggestion that President Obama pick Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston for the post of Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
Rich Cooper, avid blogger for Security Debrief, responded to the news of the Jackson Lee recommendation in a post by saying, “Apparently, it is not a joke. For reasons that baffle any sense of reality, it is a serious gesture on the part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) to encourage President Obama to nominate Rep. Jackson Lee as a replacement for outgoing-DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.”
A letter dated July 25 and signed by CBC Chairwoman Rep. Marcia Fudge, an Ohio Democrat, urges President Barack Obama to consider Jackson Lee for the position formerly held by Janet Napolitano, the first woman to hold the position. Napolitano resigned earlier this month to become president of the University of California.
“Representative Jackson Lee would serve as an effective DHS Secretary because she understands the importance of increasing border security and maintaining homeland security,” the nomination letter reads.
Since entering Congress in 1995, Jackson Lee has served on several committees, including Foreign Affairs, Judiciary and Homeland Security, in which she was the Chairwoman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation Security and Infrastructure Protection.
“As Chairwoman, Representative Jackson Lee supported increased airplane cargo inspections and increased security for railroads, issues of great importance to the security of this nation and its citizens,” the letter continues.
Jackson Lee currently holds the post of Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security, a position that the CBC says she “stands as a strong and honest ‘voice of reason.’”

It would be very easy for Obama to blame her, along with Republicans WHO DIDN'T VOTE AGAINST HER, for the absolute failure SJL would be as head of HHS.
SJL would be very easy to throw under the bus.

Count on that. She is a walking scandal now - just waiting to be one of BO's "phony scandals".
That said, he will probably want her in the position as head of HHS so she can take the heat for Obama's failed policies re: homeland security.

Sounds like SJL -- did she look around for the press? She is a total press hog -- she goes to every funeral she can - to get face time.
She is an aisle hog, too, when president speaks - doesn't matter which party or who is speaking. She makes SURE she gets an aisle seat.

Quanell 10 is the leader of the New Black Panther Party here in Houston. He is a convicted drug dealer and, probably more to who he really is, was forced out of the Nation of Islam - so he is too radical for even Calipso Louis (Farrakhan). He’s known as a community activist, kind of like other poverty pimps / race baiters like Obama, Jesse and Rev Al.
A couple of years ago, several members of the Black community made allegations that they paid him but received nothing in return (he apparently demands money upfront).
Some of his more famous acts:
- he supported 18 men accused of repeatedly gang raping an 11-year-old girl, and stated “It was not the young girl that yelled rape. Stop right there — something is wrong, brothers and sisters”, “Where was the mother? Where was the father?” Most of the suspects pleaded guilty or were convicted.
- he once advised Houston Blacks that “if you feel that you just got to mug somebody because of your hurt and your pain, go to River Oaks and mug you some good white folks.”
- he led rallies against Joe Horn (killed two illegal Columbain thugs who had broken into his neighbor’s house and were leaving it with stolen property - Joe Horn was cleared by a Houston grand jury). In one of the rallies, he told blacks to ignore “white law.”

Two thoughts:
- I suspect the CBC is fed up with her and this is the only way they know of to get her out.
- I just don’t know how we will survive without the image of her with her crown weave and outlandish dress when the President comes down the aisle for the State of Union address (for those not from Houston - she or a staffer gets there early in the morning to secure the seat).
And, a true story:
I was returning to Houston from D.C. one afternoon and she happened to be on the same flight. When she got on, she asked a man in the front row of the First Class section to move, which he graciously did, then she asked the third person who was supposed to sit in the same row to find another seat, which she graciously did, so SJL had the row all to herself. A couple of her staff were on the same flight - they sat in Economy, but were constantly at her side taking orders.
Just for the record - she would be a disgrace to Houston, all of Texas, the U.S. and her race even if she weren’t Black.
Somebody's been pulling your leg. Quannell X is the soul of reason and good race relations compared to Queen Sheila.

BTW, she infested Houston from New York.
