Most of what Francis has done has made a good impression on me. This move, not so much.

Consider the source ...and HOW it may be reporting this.

Somebody may have been pranked. The Catholic Church recently declared that there is no such thing as Purgatory.

Indulgences are equal to the duration of penance; they were never equated with time in purgatory. This is an anti-catholic lie.

I thought the Catholic Church no longer taught Purgatory as an article of faith?

CBS reporting on the Pope. They treat the Pope worse than they treat conservatives and for the same reason
I read the article. They quote one person.
One.
And no one from the vatican
From an american liberal institution that calls itself Catholic.
The point is about making a pilgrimage and offering the effort as a prayer. The subject matter here is handled very irreverently
I expect the many anti catholic freepers to pile on joining forces with CBS
But this is about getting kids who cant afford the trip to attend reverently via the internet

Well fine, but don’t expect me to retweet anything unless his holiness has a cool Twitter handle

An unbiblical solution for an unbiblical doctrine.
If you really want time off from Purgatory I'd suggest becoming a Presbyterian.

If he really wants people to follow him on twitter he should offer time off from o-bummer.

So instead of spending 200 years in Purgatory, I will have to follow the Pope on Twitter for 200 years?
