“Why is that key in ANYONES personal possession?”
Seriously? Where should they leave it? In an unlocked desk? Oh wait, how about a locked desk? But then where to put the key that locks the desk... hmmm... ANOTHER LOCKED DESK! Brilliant!
Ultimately, someone controls the keys to the building. There is always SOMEONE with the final key/combination. Get over it.
>> Seriously?
Yeah, Sherlock. Seriously. Key locker. Controlled 24/7 AT the building where the stuff is kept. Keys to the locker signed in and out by security.
This sort of controlled access is done all the time in industry, military, government... what color is the sky on YOUR planet?
This thread going along nicely until someone decides to be rude to someone else.
Stop it. Let’s nip this in the bud.
I worked in federal LE and the keys to the cells, evidence lockers, etc.. STAYED IN THE OFFICE! Yes, of course people had keys to the office but there were several steps one had to take to get to the keys. FOR GOOD REASON. If you need that reason explained to you, then you should hold off commenting and berating someone on the subject.
