Same here. O'Mara owned the physician's assistant testimony. He owned Goode's testimony. He owned the Asian guy's testimony.
I honestly thought they'd lined up witnesses for the defense. The only thing that makes me think they aren't deliberately throwing it is that they appear to be building a case that the injuries weren't all that significant, and therefore, Zimmerman didn't really have to use deadly force.
I think they're going after reckless homicide....reckless manslaughter and not Murder 2.
Aside from blowing it that's the only thing that makes sense, and they're not doing that real well, so incompetence is at play in any case.
The problem there is that I don't believe the prosecution charged anything other than Murder 2. So if the can't prove murder then the jury must acquit. They can't convict him of any other crime.
I am wondering if the prosecution knows they have no case so they just try to honestly let the evidence get presented to the court to save their reputations and to not get accused of playing games.
