Well, it’s still disappointing.

You were in Vietnam. Even then you had officers who would sell out their entire unit for a promotion or a plum assignment. You also had officers you would die for, and they would die for you.

I always thought Hayden was in the middle somewhere, as most men are. I respected him, because he was a Colonel and would up very high in the military intel elite (actually as high as you can go).

Over the years, however, especially since retirement, I’ve come to hate government and other people telling me what to do—or not do. Face it, the elite are elite because they like being bosses. Which means they must BOSS others. They’re so full of themselves, they think every thought is a wonderous idea, and must ordain it so to the little people who make up their fawning world.

I hate mankind. Come, Jesus, soon!

“I will take my chances of being blown up rather than losing my freedom.”

The need for a LIMITED G’ment grows apparent by the minute. The flip side is that everyone will need to deal with the risks.

Do away with the TSA ans Airport security??? YES

I am knee deep in a lot of stuff here in the swamps but I’m paying attention to all these scandals.

Here’s my thoughts....read ‘em and weep.

I think Obama, and the Democrats, are going to be eroded over and over by these scandals. Like Rush says, this country will NOT impeach this country’s first elected black president.

Nor should we, I’d sadly agree.

I do not think for a nano-second that the GOP political elite didn’t know about those IRS audits and why, oh why, didn’t they get out before the election and broadcast what was going on?

You don’t think GOP constituents didn’t complain to their congress critters? The blue blood GOP, ie McCain et al, they knew this, they knew about Democratic mishandling of mortgages in the first decade of 2000, they knew a while lot yet they let it go on. They never fought back.

I don’t blame President Obama or the Democrats for doing what they do. Sure it’s unethical, but they don’t care a bout ethics! They fight dirty and unless the opposition party too fights dirty, we essentially have NO opposition party.

I think that by the time the Obama administration limps to the end of the four years there will be so much damage, like the Carter admin. Nobody paid any attention to Carter his last two years in office....he was so bad and the country knew it.

This pounding on the admin. over these scandals, no it’s not going to cause the electorate to rise up in rage and throw the bums out.

But the bad news will damage Obama’s legacy, the country’s idealogical balance will tilt right.

Just a hunch.

Rand Paul gave a stupid response on immigration. His assertion that we need to import more workers while 23 million Americans are looking for full-time employment is nonsense.

In California - these large numbers of Unemployed Americans will not pick fruit or Vegies. They make too much money that is stolen from you and me by the IRS and all the other G’ment agencies. All of this is done through our support of the people we voted to office.

“social justice”...I left the catholic church because the priests kept spouting it.

"Social justice" would be fine if the church wanted to provide it. But no, they want the government to do it...frigging RATs.

Thanks for asking!

I am well. The cardio doctor woke me after surgery and told me—get this—”Good news! You didn't have a heart attack. You just had a little cholesterol buildup which I basically pushed out during the procedure. You can go home in 4 hours, don't exercise and drive for 24 hours, and I'll see you in one year.”

So, I'm relieved, but then slightly angry. So I asked him, “Wait. My endocrinologist (I am a diabetic) told me I had a heart attack, my GP said the same, and after extensive (and exhausting) testing at your cardio lab, you said I had had a heart attack. How can you say now I didn't???”

He replied, “Well, sometimes you just don't know until you actually go in and look. So don't worry. This is good news!”

Now I'm thinking, for the past month I've been on pins and needles. I didn't feel ANY heart attack. But they all said I had one. And I've really, really been scared I'd have another, not even feeling it to call 911 or take the nitro pills they gave me. And then I'd die. So I was afraid over this past month to do much of anything, except on the computer.

So, yes, that procedure went very well. Now I need to get over my worries and move on!

The thing is, the TSA screening function is like closing the barn long after the livestock left.

There will NEVER be another successful hijacking of an aircraft by a handfull of terrorists, because the male passengers will beat the living HELL out of them, as in “Let’s Roll”. I know I will. Better to lose my life fighting, even unsuccessfully, then sit in the seat and fly into a building.

Bulletin!

Meet the Press really was on and for those who missed it, here's a quick recap

DNC Daves guests this week were Senator Dick Durbin, Secy of Transportation Ray LaHood, and former communications director Anita Dunn

Durbin was up first. DNC Dave asked Durbin about the current scandals. Durbin refused to answer citing "Government Employee Executive Privilege" a newly signed executive order Obama issued today exempting any government employee past, present, or future from commenting on anything not favorable to the current administration.

DNC Dave then asked Durbin how was it he was first elected as a pro-life congressman from Central Illinois running against a pro-choice republican, but then changed his stance. Durbin replied there was no where to go in the Democratic Party as a pro-life Democrat, so in order to further his career he switched.

Next up was Ray LaHood, former Republican Congressman from Central Illinois. DNC Dave said since the new executive order was in place and he couldn't ask any substantive questions about all the money wasted on High Speed Rail so trains could go 89 mph instead of 78 mph between St. Louis and Chicago, he asked LaHood this. How is it you were mentored by Bob Michel, held his former Republican seat for several years, and then became a member of Obama's cabinet. Wasn't that uncomfortable being a Republican among all those Democrats? LaHood replied - This was a great job, and it furthered my career. I voted for Obama so I could keep my job. Now that I'm retiring, I'm going to leave Peoria and move to Washington so I can make a ton of dough lobbying.

Next up Anita Dunn. DNC Dave asked her whether she still believed Mao was still the greatest dictator. She replied Obama soon will be, especially if he can suppress the Tea Party for the 2014 elections and get the house back for Nancy Pelosi

The roundtable panel was composed of Andrea Mitchell, Rachael Maddow, Chris Mathews, Ed Schultz, and EJ Dionne. DNC Dave said he was proud to announce Meet the Press now could claim equality to Fox News in the "Fair and Balanced" department for roundtables.

Their discussion was the usual drivel, so not worth commenting Sorry you all missed it!

Exactly, I never give up its just not in my DNA.

I guess one of the biggest questions now is will Marco sign on to the amnesty bill now floating around in the Senate while knowing that the chances of it or even a version of it ever seeing any daylight in the House are remote?

Ron Johnson on FOX. on Govt SUrveillance -

Gen. Hayden - Wallace says there 3 billion phone calls being recorded every day- why not just target the “bad Guys” up front?

Gen Hayden talks to Chris like he’s a five year old. - We just ask the “data base” about the one bad guy. But they do keep the records. (For how long? Sounds like forever as far as I can tell) Claims there are no records of abuse. (LOLOLOL - how would we know if there was any abuse? Can you say IRS???????)

Hayden claims Obama has added even more safeguards to prevent any “abuse”. Wow.

Ron Johnson says American people have lost faith in being able to trust their govt. Americans SHOULD be very skeptical of their govt.

Wallace asks about Benghazi talking points/Susan Rice. Hayden says the most unusual thing about the talking points is that the CIA was writing the talking points. WHAT???? - is he throwing the CIA under the bus?

Hayden says there are no records of abuse.

And how long did the IRS abuse the Tea Party before records of such came out? And how long did the IRS abuse the Tea Party before records of such came out? Another problem.
+++++++++++
The IRS scandal is a big story now but the complaints from the Tea Party types goes back a couple of years.

Don't take Hayden's point lightly.

Abuse by NSA is certainly possible and particularly so given the predisposition of the Obama Administration to exploit the powers of Government Agencies for political advantage.

But, AFAIK, there are no examples of political exploitation resulting from the NSA surveillance. That is Hayden's point and I think he is correct.

Never say Never. Too many instances in history where everyone forgets and the past repeats itself.

When people get fat and lazy they have “too” much to loose. Well, we as a country are at this point. The list of items that would need to be fixed is long. LIMITED G’ment

Do away with the TSA.

Rand Paul knows far more about this program than our weak kneed spokesmen like Krystal Bill. Let’s get his logic straight, we can’t trust the IRS but we can trust the Intelligence Dept. to not go after the Tea Party. Sure Bill.

Pray for America to Wake Up

I really don't see it that way at all.I think the velocity and the amount of scandals all hitting at once are going to be really tough to ignore come a year from Nov.

Especially if they never end.Benghazi alone is a huge smoking gun.

I hate going up against your judgment but I sense a big turn around in the next election.

Face the Nation--McCaul is acknowledging the unprecedented ability to abuse the phone/internet info. He points out that the government is now holding ALL data, rather than requisitioning info from phone/ISP on an as-needed basis. He compares the IRS abuse to unfettered access to all phone/internet data.
