Afraid of a few little, old social diseases, are they? ;-)
Interesting coincidence, that. Just this morning, the Naxalite Maoists in India launched a huge attack in Chattisgarh, killing some 30 political leaders. The Indian news is making much of the Chinese support that this bunch and the Communist Party of India receive. There’s unofficial talk going around that the Central Government has completely shifted from treating the CPI and the Naxalites as a political movement, and will be considering them strictly terrorists, and (hopefully) therefore a military problem instead of a police/paramilitary one.
If the attack is ever tied to this announcement, it may actually prod India into a harder line against China, as such actions if backed by China might be seen as a direct attack against the Central Government.
A directive that will be thoroughly ignored, if not laughed at outright. For the Communist Party, that ship has sailed.
As opposed to Chinese Communist values like beating prisoners to death, harvesting organs from detention camp prisoners and serving fetus soup in restaurants . . .
“disseminating erroneous thought currents”
LOL!
At the rate Chinese are committing female infanticide, they aren’t gonna have much of a choice of sexual proclivities soon.
The major political parties in the US have also sent signals that liberty, personal sovereignty are dangerous values and loyal party members should resist their temptations. Above all, don’t look to God to tell you what is right and wrong, especially when it comes to sexual morality and the definition of marriage. God is “judgmental”.
I just returned from a few weeks in China. The new regime has issued strict new guidelines against accepting gifts... even dinners, from businessmen. It’s causing much disruption over there.
GRAFT, is how business gets done. Without it, they don’t know what to do, or how to do it.
It’s actually hurting their business.
Despite all of the market-based reforms of the past three decades, the ruling party in China still calls itself the Communist Party. Could China return to Marxism-Leninism or Maoism?
Daisy may shorts will prevail. The power is just too strong to be resisted
What? All of the sudden they don't like socialism?
Many Chinese family with the wherewithal are sending their kids west for an education. They bring back Western ideas if they come back at all.
But...but...the Free Traders said that Free Trade would open up Communist China....
“Enhance opinion guidance” WOW, such soft wounding words. Here it “we want to keep you safe”.
