does one have to ask your forgiveness before you give it?
No one has to ask me. My understanding is I can (and ideally, should) forgive anyone who does me wrong, whether they are sorry and ask for forgiveness, or not.
But they, in order to get right with God, need to ask whoever they have wrong for forgiveness, and also ask God for His forgiveness.
So, I should do my part, but their part is up to them.
That’s my understanding. It isn’t easy.
