Any law a hundred pages long is a bad, ill thought mess. A well drafted bill should be read & discussed both in committee and then before each legislative body to iron out confusing language, how it addresses the intended issue and amended or deleted to put it in finished form. It should not be rushed through as that leads to errors & consequences not intended by the drafters.
Laws also should not be too general as that lets the administering officials bend it with rulemaking to cover results not intended when made law.
When laws are done ignoring these guidelines you get horrors such as Obamacare & this CT anti gun rights law.
Ha! Sounds like you actually believe those voted into office draft, read and vote on bills. Aside from voting, the only other thing they do is run for office, steal our $$ and pad their own pockets.
The Republic has had its boned picked over in NE corridor. It’s one of the reasons I left that area 20 yrs ago and dread each time I have to return.
