One of our cats 25 years ago or so was attacked by something, probably a fox. We had a lot of those hanging around there. We heard the scream. She made it home with a large bite wound in her back. We took her to the vet right away and she lived a long time after that and still insisted on spending a lot of time outside. Her name was Patches because of her coloring.
I don’t know whose cat the coyotes got that night. Wasn’t mine. But I take care of 2 ferals, a black tom and his gray girlfriend. They’ve been hanging around here for 6 years. I can’t touch him but she loves to be scratched. He has some health issues and because he won’t let me near him, I can’t help.
