No demagogue, of course, ever announced that his purpose was a Totalitarian Society. The "unity"--in reality uniformity--being proposed, was supposed to magically enhance "freedom," "opportunity" &, of course, "hope" & "change."

My 91 year old German mother is very very nervous. The current condition is very familiar. For instance, Obama recently said he had cut the budget by $1T. It was a lie, but no one called him on it. There was some journalists who said they would maybe try to hold the Democrats accountable, but it hasn’t happened. It’s always the Republicans’fault. Pretty soon any opposition to “progressives” will be enemies of the state.
