Connecticut school shooting: Adam Lanza's mother was preparing for disaster(PREPPER BLAME)

Nancy Lanza, whose gun collection was raided by her son Adam for Friday’s massacre at Sandy Hook school, was part of the “prepper” movement, which urges readiness for social chaos by hoarding supplies and training with weapons.

“She prepared for the worst,” her sister-in-law Marsha Lanza told reporters. “Last time we visited her in person, we talked about prepping – are you ready for what could happen down the line, when the economy collapses?”

Liberals Call For Murder Of NRA President, Members & Repeal Of Second Amendment

How is that any less evil a mindset than the Lanza boy’s?

All true. My real question is: Why is the media not asking any questions about the father’s relationship with his son. Why are we not getting any description of the father’s life? My question is about the media. Why only the mother is receiving scrutiny.

We had to leave the sports bar we were in. As we took our food to the car, Obama’s voice was blaring out of the outdoor speakers that could be heard a block away. It was like we were living in the Soviet Union or some communist country.
As sad as this massacre has been, when are the television networks and the politicians going to let us get on with life?
It’s like a 24 hour funeral every day...how long is this going to last? Maybe make a funeral network for those who want to cry all day. I’d like to have the choice to grieve for these families when I want to...not when the networks or the president says I should. This is becoming a commie country.

A 20 year old killed his mother... that is bad enough.... let the LE do their investigation.... the speculating is just not helping anyone. I am sure the father in being interviewed ..but is that our business.

He has another son to protect and his own well being.

Just sick of all the want to know need to know crowd...how about evil???

Too simple...right Donna

Sadly, the doom queen was finally right. Doom resided in her home.

Hey, in his view he more than bought off the woman. There’s a lot of common decency that got left on the curb for the trash man here. Which is a common story today. What isn’t so common is for it to lead to such an overtly ghastly chain of events.

And yeah like mentioned it’s weird that “our” press is so hung up over the school shooting itself, that the murder of his mom, who to all reports hadn’t done anything close to deserving to get shot for, just goes as a passing phrase in a news story.

I agree.
The over-focus on the mother is very sexist of the liberal media.

Of course, she’s not alive to defend herself from the media, so that makes her a target ... a second time. The liberal media is not kind to women it decides to target.

That said, I do think the mother made a horrible mistake in having guns around an unstable child. Even if they were locked away, a smart kid could gain access to them.

There was a similar case in Oregon a while back (Kip Kinkle) where the father actually bought his disturbed son guns thinking it would calm him down. The son killed the father, mother, and went to his high school and had a shoot em up. Forget how many died.

Parents can be dumb, and I have no problem with calling out dumb parents even if they are dead. But where was the father in all this?

For chilling in this vein, how about also noted author and shrink F. Scott Peck’s account of the boy who was given the same gun that his brother had committed suicide with... as a Christmas present IIRC. Not another one of the same kind, THAT very gun. The whole family was rife with wacky presumptions and delusions. Peck did something that few modern shrinks do: he called it evil.

I don’t want to know. I want to know why the media is obsessively focusing on one parent (the female) as the one who failed her son and community. I want to know why the father parent is not part of the story. I know she went to the bar. I know she ‘caressed’ her weapon (as one news source wrote.) I want to know why the media can’t find it in themselves to ask one single thing about the father.

What are the chances that 2 fathers have 2 sons who are responsible for literally back to back mass murders of young adults and 20 babies and are about to testify in a major financial international rate scam involving 16 banks and worth 3 trillion dollars. Is there a story here? is there more to this than just 2 mentally disturbed individuals? To many questions. The latest news conference with the state police chief answered no questions by the press but made sure to say that when he does, in an arrogant tone, it will be final and no one should question it.

Either it’s due to his father being well off and well connected in the right circles which keeps his name out of the papers, or it’s due to something they absolutely do not want to report because it’s contrary to the narrative that they want to maintain. I suppose it could conceivably be both, too.

Seriously. I’m not.

Why is the father’s parenting (or lack thereof) not part of the narrative? He pays off the mother and wipes his hands clean of his duty?

The father is the VP for tax prep at GE....GE used to own the liberal BatCrap Crazy networks MSNBC and NBC before Comcast took over. Would not be surprised that the Lanza father knows some of the higher up at the NBC family of networks
