Which reminds me... QuillPen asked me the other day whether I had seen further news of your grandson's recovery (and his father's also). The last I read was many weeks ago, and was good news of progress. Dare I ask... we've been praying for him every day... is the news still good?

Yes, thank you very much! He’s fully recovered and came to visit me in July -— on his Eighteenth birthday as it happened. he’s a little combative because he has short term memory loss and that makes him maaaaad, but he enrolled in the community college this week. Thank you both from my heart for your prayers. I am certain that everyone’s prayers saved him, along with the AMERICAN neurosurgeon.

P.S. I’m not yet on board with Romney either, but DrO continues to tell me that I’ll come around before the election because the Marxist is too damn dangerous, sociopathic and will destroy the America he hates if reelected. I continue to pray, not just for “a” miracle, but for several. I have faith, that somehow, some way, our good Lord and savior will help us save our Republic with or without my vote for Romney.

Forgiven, of course! I've forgotten divine capitalization at times myself... Lightning hasn't struck yet. :) God is forgiving of much more serious sins than proper English usage. I think you're safe.

Short-term memory loss is indeed a very frustrating pain. I've acquired a bit of that myself of late, but mine's more due to turning 60, and the accumulated damage done by long-ago youthful indiscretions, than as a result of accident. I will pray that God relieves him of that infliction, and for success in his college studies. My own daughter just entered Univ. of Hawaii to major in Comp. Sci. so I'll be doing a lot of praying the next few years! :)

I never said surrender, just that this phase here on his world is coming to an end, no different than Rome or England or Spain, all once great worldly powers. No not so deep and end times and all, just that the America that once was is now gone, its Christian heritage betrayed, and as such its structure weakened. What is moderate today will be conservative by 2016. Christians who still understand the faith, stand by and for it will be further marginalized as the Kymbaya crowd clamors for more “understanding” and “getting along”.

They will point and say “who are you to say who is right”, as they have been, which is odd in several ways, one because they are saying that to another Christian so in essence they themselves are saying they may well be wrong. Not exactly courage of ones conviction, and given the prevalence of such attitudes now explaining much beyond “mere” religion. Then of course it leads one to ask if we are not the ones to say who is right then what is the point of believing in anything...

Time is one our side...
