Yes,certainly is a clever technique.Had to study his style on my Art course at school. Never been so frustrated trying to copy a painting style,AHH!,went back to J.Constable and Monet fairly sharpish.

What I found fascinating about the technique is how the dots of different colors influence each other and mix on the canvas. I wouldn’t try to do it, don’t have the patience but it is brilliant.
