John Roberts is brilliant. Years from now, we are going to look back on this as the day the revolution began. I can’t believe all the hand wringing on this. It’s silly. it’s going to be overturned. Period. And all at once instead of piecework.

Why are you so sure? Nothing is written in stone, especially with Obama in office and his friends in the press.

I pray you’re right.

Nonsense. Had Roberts voted with the conservatives the mandate would have been thrown out and the law would have been much easier to repeal as the mandate provided the "funding"..

Please read the dissents before making such silly claims.

A good explanation here:

Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas, and Alito Dissent: 'We Cannot Rewrite the Statute to Be What It Is Not' "Judicial tax-writing is particularly troubling."

John Roberts is brilliant.

No, he is not. He took an oath to uphold the Constitution. He has shown he (along with the other four liberals) is incapable of understanding and complying with that oath. He is a disgrace as Chief Justice. He should resign.

You mean like GWB’s brilliant strategery to sign CFR into law with that idiotic smirk, then saying SCOTUS would overturn it?

Except they didn’t.

First of all, I don’t buy the half-baked idea, but even if it is true, we’ve had enough of morons like this playing games with our freedom instead of doing the right thing.

Such unmitigated arrogance. It’s detestable.

And liberty is not “silly.”

Yeah only the precedent that there is absolutely no limit to the federal government. At best, Robertsw is too smart by half.

did you forget the /sarc tag? I cannot believe you wrote that Roberts is brlliant.

All Roberts had to do is vote with Scalia, Kennedy, Alito and Thomas. They were ready to throw the entire monstrosity out.

Go and listen to Levin's show from today. It will be an education on the Constitution. The bottom line from Levin -- it is the most horrible of rulings. Levin said there is nothing at all good about this ruling. He said it sets a bad precedent that will take decades to reverse.

Roberts is an very evil man. He has willingly and knowingly betrayed our Constitution.

I pray that the evil Roberts regrets this decision for the rest of his anti-Liberty life.
