Technically when the threat has been stopped.

The victim has to determine that however as they are the ones facing and dealing with the threat.

Would they be asking this if it was a woman being raped and she wound up killing the attacker? Do they ever ask that?

People shoot intruders all the time when the intruder hasn’t even put a hand on them (luckily).

I just love libs. Men hating all the way. Anything a guy does is wrong. Men suck any way you look at them. Now the dad is a bad guy too, because he defended his daughter from a pervert molesting her and the molester died. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

You know these are the same people that would criticize the guy if he didn’t kill the molester. “If it was MY daughter that guy would not have been left alive.”

And so what if there was anger. Cops respond in anger too. All people do. They are angry for being put in the situation, they are angry for having to have to defend themselves and others with force, they know it only makes their life more complicated from that point on. Just because there’s anger doesn’t mean the self defense isn’t necessary and the fact the pervert died while the dad was stopping the threat, doesn’t mean that was the intended result. That death is an unintended consequence of stopping the threat.

“Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.”
In an atmosphere of confusion, laws can be passed taking away rights.
