This is a bit surprising. Unions bailing on the Dems?

Obama's internals must be so horrible the only chance organized labor has is to reach out to their "enemy" on the other side of the aisle with millions in campaign contributions.

I believe the key word is "direct." Under the table dealings will probably double.

it will take money away from political candidates and instead put it into “infrastructure and advocacy,”

meaning more money to ACORN, SEIU, hire more mafia type persuaders to exact their thuggery tactics against any union opposition

Well, remember too that Obama was too busy to go to Wisconsin during that campaign.

But, Obama did send out a twitter message the night before the election there, so he gave them good moral support................

It's a lover's quarrel - they'll be back together soon. They're trying to hood-wink concerned family members - but we're on to their tricks.

If you believe that I’ve a got a bridge to sell ya...
The Unions and Democrat party are “partners”...

If it was not for the democrats....
Unions wouldn’t be FORCED on every Federal and State building projects...

Not to speak of the Givernment Workers Union(s)...
That statement could have come from Hitler or Stalin’s propaganda ministry....
Main stream media is propaganda 24/7...
AND Fox is getting iffy...

This means nothing. As a former member of the AFL-CIO I can assure you that supporting Democratic politicians is considered to be a key component of a union's “infrastructure and advocacy” budget.

“This is not a slight at the president,”

That is like saying after 3/1/2 years with Obama in charge that he has no responsibility for the state of the economy.

AFL
One of the American Federation of Labor's founding fathers, and first president, was Samuel Gompers. That was 1886.
While doing my family genealogy, I discovered my ggGrandfather lived in the same NYC tenement with the Gompers. That was 1880.
My ggGF was a cooper (barrel maker), and more than likely belonged to the Coopers International Union. The Gompers were cigar makers.
I often wonder if they ever shared a beer and a stogie, discussed labor/politics and what they would think of today's union thugs.

Revenge. Bad policy my FRiends.

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave itto the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Even if the unions are doing this as a head fake, the simple fact that it is out there in the public should help to undermine O and the unions.

Makes sense on several levels.

1) They believe that Obama screwed them by failing to deliver on Card Check and by tepid support in Wisconsin. If they don’t deliver some clear punishment now double-dealing Democrats will just go on screwing them.

2) Things are going to start getting very bad for the union leadership in the wake of Wisconsin. Their rank-and-file is going to be under constant pressure of layoffs and/or givebacks. Better to point the finger of blame at the Mormon Republican Millionaire in the White House when that all starts hitting the fan.

3) The money that used to go to Democrats will frankly be needed to cover overhead expenses (i.e. perks for the union bosses) as dues receipts plummet after Wisconsin.
