The Lynching of George Zimmerman
American Thinker ^ | 06/09/2012 | Anthony W. Hager

Posted on 06/09/2012 10:07:18 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

George Zimmerman's public image took a blow when a judge revoked his bond, alleging that Zimmerman willfully misled the court concerning his financial situation. The fact that he's back in jail makes him appear guilty in the public's eye, and that's what matters. Whether or not Zimmerman misled the court is immaterial. In fact, his guilt or innocence is immaterial. His trial has transcended justice; it's now about capitalizing on opportunity.

Zimmerman has maintained since day one that Trayvon Martin instigated their fatal confrontation. Zimmerman's various injuries coupled with autopsy results revealing Martin's injured knuckles tend to support his story. That evidence might be the reason why he wasn't charged immediately after the shooting. Yet he remains guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of many, including the federal government and national media.

Could there be an orchestrated campaign between government and media entities to see this man imprisoned, or even executed? Despite the physical evidence of which we're aware, an apparent lack of credible witnesses on either side of the case, and expert legal opinion belittling Florida's case against Zimmerman, the FBI has launched a hate crime investigation against him. And it could stick.

We might logically believe that the Fifth Amendment's protection against double jeopardy would compel the Justice Department to abandon the case if Zimmerman is acquitted. Not necessarily. According to Cleveland State Professor Jonathan Witmer-Rich, Supreme Court precedent has established a narrow threshold for claiming double jeopardy. "The double jeopardy clause would not prohibit a federal prosecution of Mr. Zimmerman, even if he were acquitted in Florida state court," Prof. Rich states, although he believes that the likelihood of federal prosecution following a state acquittal is small. However, FBI involvement means Department of Justice involvement, which in turn means Eric Holder involvement.

Humm, it does say the headphones were located in his pocket ... and so was photo button that he was wearing while in the 7-11. Odd.

I'll have to listen to the girl friend's testimony tomorrow before commenting on it.

I posted the two photos of Trayvon side-by-side because they have two different hairlines. IMHO, both can't be the same person.

BTW, if you will note the eyebrows of the males in the side-by-side photos, they do not seem to be the same regardless of any angle of the heads.

This old man is going to bed now. I sure hate it and it saddens me immensely that a drug and gangsta culture is destroying so many young people in our nation. I have even listened to the ‘music’ young peopl;e are pouring into their souls and found it almost demonic, filled with hate, glorifying violence, demeaning females, and ‘dissin’ society in general as ‘unfair’. That bilge is hard to listen to, to allow it access to the soul even to evaluate it. I believe it to be a big asset to the demonic destruction we are witnessing in America. It is not just a tragedy it is a disgrace. But that does not mean George Zimmerman has committed a crime.

The Skittles were found in his pocket.

I know. I also read the police report when it first came out.

I just wondered why the police evidence photo of the Watermelon Drink was provided to the 'public', but a photo of the Skittles was not.

Perhaps the drink had fallen out of his pocket, but the candy had not. ????

This from Wikipedia and booking documents at footnote 51:

“Zimmerman’s height is shown as 5’8” and his weight as 185 pounds on his Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Booking Information dated 4/11/2012.[50] Zimmerman’s height is shown as 5’7” and his weight at 200 pounds on the Sanford Police Department Offense Report for 2/26/2012.[51]”

Oh btw, the police report also listed Trayvon Martin’s height at 6’00 — obviously taken from his DL.

Wikipedia also has a picture in the upper right. Is that Trayvon??? wearing the blue sweater???

The Justice Department hasn't launched a hate crimes investigation, and no civil rights leader has scheduled a march.

Here's another one the DOJ can ignore, just from yesterday (of course, we have to get it out of the British newspapers)...

Murder on order: Teenage girls call Domino's Pizza delivery woman to home and brutally stab her 50 times on doorstep

Here's the victim...

Here's one of the perps...

Unbelievable. It is high time that all pizza delivery persons be armed.

“Violent felonious assault” is not the same thing as “starting the fight,” which was all I was commenting on. I suspect that the prosecution is going to try to blow a lot of smoke trying to imply Zimmerman “brandished” his gun to initiate the confrontation for just that reason, but there is no eveidence whatsoever that this is what happened.

And for what it’s worth, regardless of who started the fight, “Stand Your Ground” really does not appear to apply at all in this case. Once pinned on the ground, Zimmerman had no option to retreat.

"Starting it" does not, by itself, remove your right to self-defense.

Well, yes it does. Under some circumstances at least.

That's correct. Under some circumstances - not by itself. I was only commenting on your statement that "who started the fight" was the "only relevant issue." It isn't. I think we agree.

One can only guess that Tracy Martin (TrayDad)kicked her to the curb. You didn’t see much of her after mid-March or so. Also at the time of Trayvon’s death, Tracy Martin’s wife was a woman named Ann Martin. He and Sybrina divorced many years ago. After all this had come out it makes one wonder about the “going to the store to buy snacks for his little brother” story line. The “brother” was Brandy’s 14 year old son Chad.

Did the authors of this ridiculous story line seriously think nobody would ask more questions or do their own research?

Someone needs to make a pizza delivery transporter that has a pocket underneath for a handgun. As you’re getting the pizza out, you hand is on the gun.

Crump obviously left some loose ends. The younger brother is one. That points to asking why the little brother didn’t tell the father that Trayvon was missing. The girlfriend was another FU on Crump’s part. Martin didn’t have a girlfriend. I think Crump got involved after Martin’s funeral which explains why he didn’t have all the i’s dotted and the t’s crossed. It also explains why people where able to archive all of Martin’s social media posts documenting his drug usage before Crump’s cleanup..
